Welcome to the official blog of the Tufts team of Health Horizons International (HHI)!
On Saturday, January 7, we're all going to be trekking down to the Dominican Republic as part of a week-long public health trip run and organized by HHI. (You can learn more about the organization here.) This trip is the culmination of over a semester of planning, research and hard work. We'll be conducting a community-based participatory research project to learn more about the causes of non-communicable diseases in two communities on the northern coast of the island: Pancho Mateo and Severet.
We'll be writing posts as frequently as we can (depending on our access to Internet), so check back often and see what we're up to. There'll be photographs and notes, along with a bunch of other goodies for your entertainment and education.
We're so excited for our trip, and we're equally excited to share our experience with you. Thank you for all of your support.
